As we anticipated yesterday, Fender released the new Fender Jazz Bass American Ultra. It also includes a five-string version, called the Fender Jazzz Bass V American Ultra.

This instrument is described by Fender as comfortable and fast, and features a powerful active-passive preamp for sweeter highs, focused mids, and much more usable lows.

Key features include: Two Vintage Ultra Noiseless ™ Single-coil Jazz Bass® pickups, Modern “D” Profile Neck. 10 “-14” compound radius fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets. Redesigned preamplifier with active / passive switch and HiMass bridge.
