Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster Mexico: Guitar Model Guide
This quick guide includes new series of the most important models of ender Mexico: Statocaster and Telecaster.
Fender Mexico, experience and quality
Fender has renewed its product line in 2019, here we show you the Fender Mexico line. The Mexico plant has gained a lot of experience over its long history, showing superior quality over the years. If your budget is not enough to come up with an American version, don’t worry, Fender Mexico has great options.
Fender Stratocaster Mexico models
Player Series
Its predecessor is the Standard, base model, it comes with a multi-piece alder body, usually above four pieces. There is the standard S-S-S version (three singlecoils), and there are H-H (Humbuckers), H-S-S and Plustop versions with Maple / Flamed Maple top that come with S-S-S and H-S-S.

- One-piece maple neck or Pau Ferro fretboard with “Modern C” profile, 9.5″ radius fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.
- Two-pivotes bridge with vintage-style sheet metal saddles.

Vintera
Its predecessor is the Classic Series line. Classic / vintage design and specifications. It has different versions: 50s, 60s and
70s. Alder or ash body depending on the version, usually four pieces.

Vintera 50’s
- Alder or Ash body.
- One-piece maple neck with “Soft V” profile, 7.25″ radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets.
- Vintage-style 6-pivotes synchronized tremolo.
- 1950s style Strat® singlecoil pickups.
Vintera 60’s
- Alder body.
- Maple neck with Pau Ferro fretboard with “Medium C” profile, 7.25″ radius fingerboard with 21 vintage style frets.
- Vintage-style 6-pivotes synchronized tremolo.
- Singlecoil Strat® ’60s style pickups.
Vintera 70’s
- Ash body.
- One-piece or fretboard maple neck by Pau Ferro with “Early 70s” profile, 7.25″ radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets.
- Vintage-style 6-pivotes synchronized tremolo.
- 70’s style Strat® singlecoil pickups.
- Large 70s type tuner.
Vintera Modified
It is a subseries within Vintera. Its predecessor is the Classic Player line. Intermediate model, classic design with modern specifications. It also has different versions: 50s, 60s and 70s. Alder or ash body depending on the version, usually four pieces.
Fender Vintera Modified Specifications
Vintera Modified 50’s
- Alder body.
- One-piece maple neck with “Modern C” profile, 9.5″ radius fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets.
- Vintage-style two-pivotes synchronized tremolo.
- Hot ’50s Strat® singlecoil pickups with S-1 switch add neck pickup to positions 1 and 2.
Vintera Modified 60’s
- Alder body.
- Maple neck with Pau Ferro fretboard with “Modern C” profile, 9.5” radius fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets.
- Vintage-style two-pivotes synchronized tremolo.
- Hot ’60s Strat® singlecoil pickups with S-1 switch add the neck pickup to positions 1 and 2.
Deluxe
Model with modern specifications. It comes in SSS, HSS, and Roadhouse versions.
Fender Deluxe Specifications
- Ash body.
- One-piece maple neck or Pau Ferro fretboard with “Modern C” profile, 12″ radius fingerboard with 22 Narrow Tall frets.
- Two-pivotes bridge with vintage-style steel saddles.
- Vintage Noiseless ™ Strat pickupcs with push / push mini-switch that adds to the bridge mic in positions 4 and 5.
- Locking tuning pegs.
- Neckjoint / Modern Neckplate (Asymmetric / Rounded)
The Deluxe Roadhouse version has an Alder body that comes with a 6-position selector switch, a preamp system and an S-1 ™ to bypass-ear the preamp.
Fender Telecaster Mexico models
Player Series

Vintera 60’s Bigsby
- Ash / Ash or Alder body.

- Vintage Tele® 60’s style singlecoil pickups.
Vintera 70’s Custom
- Alder body.
- One-piece maple neck with “Slim C” profile, 7.5 “radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets.
- Vintage style 3 saddle chrome bridge.
- Singlecoil Tele 70’s pickups on the bridge and a Wide Range Humbucking.
- Small 70s type tuner.
Vintera 70’s Thinline
- Ash body.
- One-piece maple neck with “Slim C” profile, 7.25″ radius fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets.
- Strat Hard Tail bridge with strings through the body with six vintage-style saddles.
- Wide Range humbucking pickups.
- Large 70’s type tuner.
Vintera Modified

Vintera Modified 60’s
- Alder body.

- Vintage-style Tele® bridge with three brass saddles.
- Hot 60’s Tele® singlecoil pickups with S-1.
Vintera Modified 70’s Deluxe

Deluxe
Model with modern specifications. There are two versions, the Nashville and the Thinline type ’69.
